The recursive tests on DNS manager are failing on our Windows 2012 R2 server

It actually turned out to be the router/firewall that had somehow lost external connection. The system gradually went wrong over a few days and first of all just stopped pinging external IPs. Once we restarted the router, the issues were solved.
